Konica Minolta Business Solutions Continues Partnership with PurchasingPoint® to Provide Large Nonprofits with Online Access to Discounted Products and Services

Over the 10-year history of the program, partnerships with leading companies like Konica Minolta have allowed an estimated savings of over $96 million to members

Washington, D.C. – March 25, 2015 – PurchasingPoint®, the only group purchasing organization in the nonprofit marketplace focused solely on the needs of national nonprofit human services organizations and their affiliates, today announced that Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc., one of the world’s leaders in information management focused on enterprise content, technology optimization and cloud services, has renewed and expanded its partnership with PurchasingPoint.

Konica Minolta joined a corps of more than 200 national vendors in 2008 through a group purchasing program managed by the HealthTrust Purchasing Group and recently renewed its agreement for an additional 3-year term. PurchasingPoint is a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of the National Human Services Assembly, which accesses vendors through a partnership with HealthTrust/AdvantageTrust and is designed to help nonprofits save money on overhead expenses in order to save more money for mission. PurchasingPoint estimates that large human services nonprofits in the U.S. spend, on average, 37% of their revenue annually on non-programmatic, non-personnel overhead.

“We view our partnership with PurchasingPoint as an important component of Konica Minolta’s nonprofit marketing channel,” says Kevin P. Kern, senior vice president, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Inc. “PurchasingPoint’s focus on its members is backed by the 95-year credibility of its parent organization, the National Human Services Assembly, as well as its 10-year operating history as a purchasing group. Together, we can provide nonprofits with a portfolio of offerings and solutions within the technology space that help them manage and reduce their overhead costs.”

Irv Katz, President and CEO of PurchasingPoint added, “Nonprofit managers are searching for ways to lower operating costs while maintaining a high level of service in achieving their mission. Through PurchasingPoint, and with the assistance of leading national vendors like Konica Minolta, our members can concentrate their efforts on their mission without spending countless hours and manpower shopping around for discounts from vendors. The work has already been done for them!”
