Rethinking Recruitment: Living Up to Your Non-Discrimination Policy – HR Peer Council (Q2 2023)

Virtual
June 6, 2023 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

How does your organization approach recruitment? How does your non-discrimination policy factor into your recruiting of talent? How do you specifically reach out to inclusive audiences to recruit candidates? What do we need to do to expand our candidate pools in a more inclusive, unbiased, and non-discriminatory fashion?

Council Co-Chair Susan Tomlinson Schmidt (Board of Directors, NHSA) will lead the HR Peer Council in a discussion on the practice and value of recruiting talent with unique and varied lived experiences. She will be joined by panelists Dr. Hassan Abdulhaqq (VP of Talent Acquisition, Development and Engagement, AHRC Nassau, a chapter of The Arc New York); Naomi Frazier, PHR, SHRM-CP (Chief People Officer, Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.); and Bijan Yaminafshar (National Manager of Employer Partnerships, Upwardly Global).

Join us for an interactive session as our panelists help us explore the issues affecting inclusive recruitment practices. Learn more and live up to your non-discrimination statement!

This meeting will be for the Human Resources (HR) Council. To learn more about participating in or joining the council, please contact Melissa Reifler.
