Show Me the Money: Evaluating Compensation Practices – HR Council (Q1 2023)
Co-Chairs Susan Tomlinson Schmidt (Board of Directors, NHSA) and Melanie Lockwood Herman (Executive Director, Nonprofit Risk Management Center) will lead the HR Peer Council in a discussion about how compensation considerations are impacting our workforce.
Human service nonprofits endeavor to remain competitive, support frontline workers, and commit to providing a living wage in a challenging environment. But the nonprofit sector has continued to struggle to compete when it comes to compensation.
How is your organization thinking about compensation in this time of uncertainty? How do you determine compensation plans? What’s the most important factor in your decisions?
Join us for an open forum as we explore issues affecting our nonprofit compensation practices, and what strategies you are using to adapt and remain competitive.
This meeting will be for the Human Resources (HR) Council. Details on the meeting agenda and registration are forthcoming. To learn more about participating in or joining the council, please contact Melissa Reifler.
NHSA’s Peer Councils are networks of senior leaders from among its members, partners and field experts to facilitate shared learning across organizations; bring emerging best practices, policy and research to light; and advocate for systems-wide changes to advance the human service sector.
