National Human Services Assembly

PolicySource

As a membership association of national human service providers, the National Assembly tracks a diverse range of public policy issues. In doing so, we recognized the need for a common resource to collect, track, and communicate information about salient policy issues so human service organizations can collaborate and more effectively engage with policymakers.

The National Assembly recently launched a database, called PolicySource, to map comprehensively and share information related to federal public policy issues impacting the sector. Our goal is for PolicySource to act as a resource for organizations interested in a wide range of issues to quickly learn about federal policy initiatives and connect them with the organizations or coalitions that are currently leading the related advocacy campaigns. The database tracks issues in that impact five categories: youth, families, people with disabilities, older adults, and the human services sector more generally.

Youth

Federal legislation that impacts well-being from birth to adulthood.

Families

Legislation that impacts access to supports and services that help families thrive.

People with Disabilities

Ensuring that people with disabilities have the tools and resources they need to live a happy, healthy life.

Older Adults

Legislation that connects generations and impacts older adults’ ability to participate in their communities.

Sector-Wide Issues

Legislation that affects the human service sector’s ability to fulfill their missions.
